How do I book the appointment?

  1. Go to the top of this page.
  2. Click on the button of the respective Health Surveillance you want to book. This will guide you to the respective booking calendar.
  3. Choose your preferred appointment date and time, and complete and submit the booking form.
  4. You’re booked in! You will receive an email confirmation and SMS plus a reminder via email closer to your appointment.

What is health surveillance?

Health surveillance are periodic checks to ensure that any potential exposures (dust, fumes, noise etc.) are not impacting your health and that your working environment remains safe and controlled. This is a compulsory requirement and attendance for an appointment with HPP occupational health
is required in line with HSE Health and Safety Regulations.

What is included in a health surveillance?

A detailed surveillance health questionnaire is completed by the employee ahead of the visit or on the day. Each surveillance assessment is completed by the nurse/technician in line with the relevant exposures. Results will be checked against any previous readings to ensure any risks are
appropriately controlled and managed and if necessary, advice can be given. Health risks that require health surveillance include environments where there are sustained and increased levels of:

  • Noise
  • Vibration
  • COSHH (Substances hazardous to health eg: dust / fumes/ solvents etc.)
  • Skin
  • Lungs

Following your assessment, you will also receive a personalised medical report, including your test results as well as recommendations.
